Setting the Blacklist or Whitelist

This topic helps you to set the blacklist or whitelist through the Self-Service Web Portal.

Prerequisite

You have enabled the Blacklist and whitelist feature.

Context

Blacklist: Blacklist indicates a list of special callers set by VMS subscribers. If the Blacklist is enabled, users in Blacklist cannot leave messages for VMS subscribers.

Whitelist: Whitelist indicates a list of special callers set by VMS subscribers. If the Whitelist is enabled, only users in Whitelist can leave messages for VMS subscribers.

NOTE:

A number can be added to the blacklist and whitelist at the same time, but only the number in the enabled list takes effect.

You cannot enable the blacklist and whitelist functions at the same time. You can manage the blacklist and whitelist at any time. Only the enabled list is valid. If the blacklist & whitelist type is not set, the system uses the default value, that is, Blacklist.
